Have you ever wondered how to dress for the in-between weather, where it's warm but also cool? Have you ever wondered how to layer clothes properly? Have you just wanted to try some new fashion styles? I'm here to disclose some ideas for this spring. I'll provide links at the end that shows all examples discussed. Note: There's a link for your men out there wanting to try something new this Spring ;)
Layering sheer pieces over opaque ones can add interest and allow you to feel every cool breeze. Some ideas include putting a lace top over a solid color or having a lace top under a solid colored top can make it seem more interesting. I'll provide a link at the bottom that shows all examples discussed.
Slipping on a sheer kimono over just about any top can add some character to your look, while still being lightweight and breathable.
You can also layer accessories instead of your clothing, it can give that extra something to your outfit.
Turtle necks can also help with layering, wearing them under dresses or V-necks can amp up a look.
Over-sized coats can compliment a look and allows you to wear cooler items underneath, but still provides the warmth needed for those cooler days.
Midi-skirts, maxi-dresses, maxi-coats and thigh high boots can help with layering. Midi-skirts and maxi-dresses act as an airy blanket without making you too hot or cold. You can also pair them with other things making them easy to layer with.
Combining overalls and dresses with long sleeves can add layers without making the ensemble seem bulky. You can also wear shorteralls, which are overall shorts, over tank tops, T-shirts, sweaters, long sleeved shirts, turtle necks, or crop tops. They're another great way to layer without overheating.
Wearing dresses over jeans is another idea, I never thought of. Some dresses look cute over pants, but others can look frumpy. Try some of the dresses you have over pants and see what works for you. For those cooler days, an over sized sweater over a dress can help keep you warm and if you get too hot, just take the sweater off and your set.
One of my favorites is layering tights under ripped jeans. The tights provide a nice comfort from those cool breezes and adds a nice look to the outfit especially when paired with a solid T-shirt.
